ABS/PMMA plastic sheet is a multilayer sheet. It is designed by coextrusion of ABS – plastic with PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). A layer of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) provides products with high impact resistance even at sub-zero temperatures. The top layer of impact-resistant PMMA (popularly “acrylic”) provides scratch resistance, protection against destruction under the influence of UV rays, excellent surface quality with a high gloss, resistance to acids, alkalis, fats, automotive fuels, antifreeze agents, detergents, stops bacteria to breed. ABS/PMMA plastic sheet is easily thermoformed which makes it possible to manufacture various products and baths with complex geometry and deep drawing from it.

ABS plastic and PMMA is painted well that makes it possible to produce sheets of a wide color range. The bottomside of the sheet is corona treated (activated) and has a high surface tension which contributes to better adhesion to resins and adhesives.

Another very important characteristic of ABS / PMMA sheet is its low weight in comparison with fiberglass as well as in comparison with European counterparts.

    Additional Information

Sheets of ABS, co-extruded with PMMA (the so-called “sanitary” plastic), are multi-layer sheets with a top layer of impact-resistant modified acrylic. The bottom layer of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) provides sheets with high-quality molding and high impact resistance and resistance to low temperatures. The acrylic layer provides protection against UV rays, excellent surface quality with high gloss, chemical resistance. ABS / PMMA plastic sheet can be produced in various colors, depending on the customer’s requirement.

ABS/PMMA plastic sheet is an indispensable material for finishing bathrooms, saunas, making elements of refrigerators, fountains, children’s and medical furniture, facades for kitchen and living room furniture, sanitary ware, like showers, bathtubs, fonts, sinks, bathroom furniture.

Sheet ABS/PMMA plastic is easy to thermoform, that makes it possible to make baths with complex geometry and deep drawing from it. Light weight of products made of ABS/PMMA sheet plastic, significantly less than the weight of metal and cast iron products, facilitates their transportation and installation.

ABS/PMMA plastic is used for thermoforming various sanitary ware, like bathtubs, sinks, shower cabinets, shower trays, fountains, sauna elements, furniture and bathroom furnishings. Also for the manufacture of parts for refrigerators, door cladding and external cladding in the automotive industry, in the production of outdoor advertising, commercial equipment.
